So you think you know it all

I just love how teenagers think they know it all. But when it comes right down to it, they need us as parents just as much now as they did 10 yrs ago. They just dont like to admit it!!

I was going through pics today on Facebook. I cant believe how little my kids were back then. Cody is a Sr in HS this year and is growing up so fast. Next on his list of to dos is going to college, probably Parkland in Champaign, getting a job and getting a car of his own.

Cody's Sr Pic that I took. Hard to believe he's 17 already!

This is from 2005!! THey are so little <3 p="">

Nothing like feeling old!!! Looking back at old photos does just that... makes me feel old!

Well, until next time my loves!

Pool night

Every Tuesday Brian plays pool. I usually go with him to cheer him on. Tonight I am sitting at Chief's Bar & Grill in LeRoy Illinois, our home bar. I always look forward to seeing how the guys do. Tonight's team is Mop, Brian, James & Leo. They are playing against a team from up north.

Nothing like a good, cold vodka and red bull while watching the guys play pool.

I love watching Brian play pool. It's fun to see how much they like to hit balls around.

Well until later my loves.....

Good morning!

A good morning to everyone from all of us here at Cherokee Flats. It's been a cold morning here. But the sun is out and the critters are happy. Kids are off to school and hubby is working. I on the other hand have this beautiful day off. Now the question at hand is, what do I do with my day?

A few things come to mind.

1. Clean fish tank
2. Laundry
3. Update our website
4. Veg out on my iPad.

Gotta love a day off and not knowing where to begin.

Here's to a blessed day!!!

Happy October!!!

Wow, it's hard to believe that October is here already. Seems like it was just yesterday we were celebrating Easter. Now Halloween is upon us soon. My kids are too old for trick-or-treating. They would rather just buy candy at the store.

So what's new around here? Well, I have a job now. I work for Macy's in Bloomington now. I love my job. I enjoy helping customers find that perfect gift. As for the farm, we have added 3 new breeds to the farm. We now have Satins, New Zealand's, and English Spots. I am in LOVE with my Spots.

They are just an amazing breed. Hard to get those markings just right but fun just the same.

This is me and Flower. She is a handful but I love her.

This is one of our New Zealand Whites. They are a large breed weighing in at 12 lbs. beautiful animals.

We have also added silkie chickens to the farm, along with New Hampshires.

We keep pretty busy here. Well, until next time.....

Have a blessed day.
